Bishop C. FitzSimons Allison will speak about the different gospel that has led to such tragic decline and division within The Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. Pastor Scott Grorud will speak about the different gospel often heard within the ELCA. Bishop Allison will make a second presentation on the notion of human free will before God, which has made Anglican and Lutheran theology susceptible to another gospel.

| October 13 | Shamokin Dam, PA | The Evangelical Lutheran Confessing Fellowship (ELCF) of North Central Pennsylvania will continue our monthly meetings at Hoss’ Restaurant at 10:30 AM. We will feature a (DVD) video presentation on the subject “Equipping the Saints for Ministry” by Pr. Gary Jepsen. Because of the length of his full presentation (55 mins.) we will feature the second half (Part II) of his powerful presentation with time for discussion following. Jepsen delivered the talk at the WordAlone Network Convention last Spring. Next month, Pr. Jeffrey Zetto will present a summary of his excellent, searching critique of the Draft on Human Sexuality, explaining why whole portions need to be re-written and re-thought. He’s done an excellent job. He submitted the whole document to the Study Committee. You are invited to join us after adjournment for a “Dutch Treat” (pay your own) luncheon at 12:00 pm. Contact Bob Logan for more information. |
